New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

I've made a pattern and it was emailed to me but I'm having a problem. I'm trying to get the whole graph on 1 page and I have no idea how to do it. Also, do I need to have my pattern here on switchboard? My aunt was a famous quilter and I want to make her award winning quilt into a crocheted blanket. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Melanie,
THANK YOU so much for this board! I really appreciate it very much!
Debbie,
That sounds sooooo intriguing! I never thought of looming to make dishcloths...and I really like to make dishcloths! That's one of my favorite gifts to make, because people usually use sponges and are surprised to find the dishcloths work so much better...best of all, they don't deteriorate the way sponges do. I can't tell you how many times those stupid sponges had pieces that somehow gouged themselves out, even when they were still quite new, like a day or so later. They're not particularly cheap, but they're often cheaply made.
It's so much fun to give a set of dishcloths...I usually make mine a bit smaller than most dishcloth patterns say to make them. I find that when something is 7-9 inches wide, it's too much to hold onto, so I end up putting soap on one spot and then the rest of the cloth is jsut kind of "there." I think 5-6 inches is the perfect size.
One year, I made dishcloths for all of my husband's friends...well, they loved them. And the one guy told my husband, "They really work!" LOL, that was one of my favorite compliments!
True, the larger squares can be used for afghans. LOL, though that brings to mind a retired dishcloth, used as part of an afghan. Wouldn't that be bizarre? LOL.
very stressful and very demanding customers and not worth all the shit and hassle especially now that i only have half of my lungs and dad's mom taught me from a very early age how to design and bake beautiful custom made cakes

HELLO!
Firstly I was just told about this sight from someone on a different on a crochet forum. This is a very cool sight ...thank you
So i created a graph for picture afghan (tunisian).
I have made quite a few of these but my graphs are charted with colors rather than symbols.
I have new to this sight so I am not sure of capabilities.
Is it possible to create the graph with colors rather than symbols?
Thanks again
Jo
